Crawford scored 29 points and Joe Johnson added 20 while sitting out the fourth quarter...The Nets missed their first 11 shots and never led while falling to 1-17 in road games. They have lost 13 of their last 14 overall...Yi Jianlian led New Jersey with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Devin Harris had 15 points and Brook Lopez added 12. “Nobody in this locker room is taking losing easy. No one,” said Chris Douglas-Roberts, who had six points. “We have to come back to life.”

vs(By TOM WITHERS From the Associated Press) - Taking the court only hours after star guard Gilbert Arenas was suspended indefinitely by pitiless NBA commissioner David Stern, the Wizards were beaten 121-98 by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night, a possible preview of darker days ahead for Washington...LeBron James piled up 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in just three quarters, and Shaquille O’Neal added 17 points in 17 minutes as the Cavaliers took no mercy on the Wizards and posted a season-high for points to win for the 13th time in 15 games...Antawn Jamison scored 26 points and Randy Foye 18 for the Wizards. Earl Boykins started for Arenas, whose 22.6 points per game, sweet stroke, leadership and jovial personality will be missed.

vs(By ANTONIO GONZALEZ From the Associated Press) - Andrea Bargnani and Chris Bosh had 18 points apiece, and the Raptors nearly blew an 18-point fourth quarter lead before holding off the Orlando Magic for a 108-103 victory Wednesday night...Turkoglu added 17 points to help the Raptors win for the seventh time in their last eight games. They also got a boost with five points from Jose Calderon in his return from a hip strain...Redick finished with 22 points, and Dwight Howard had 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Magic, who have lost three straight for the first time this season.

vs(By TIM REYNOLDS From the Associated Press) - Rondo scored 25 points, including a buzzer-beating layup after catching Paul Pierce’s lob at the end of regulation, then delivered the biggest shot of overtime as the Boston Celtics got a wild 112-106 overtime win over the Miami Heat on Wednesday night...Wade’s steal and dunk with 0.6 seconds left gave Miami a two-point lead, part of his season-high 44-point effort. But Rondo spun clear to catch Pierce’s perfect pass and laid it off the glass to tie the game, then sealed the outcome by knocking down a short floater with 34.3 seconds left in the extra session...Ray Allen scored 22 points and Kendrick Perkins added 20 points and 10 rebounds for Boston, which trailed by 11 midway through the fourth quarter. Pierce scored 17 and Rasheed Wallace added 16 for Boston, which was outscored 26-4 in points off turnovers and lost the offensive rebounding battle 17-5.

vs(By JON KRAWCZYNSKI From the Associated Press) - The indefatigable Ellis had 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists in 38 minutes as the Golden State Warriors snapped an eight-game road losing streak with a 107-101 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night...Corey Maggette had 28 points and Stephen Curry added 16 before fouling out for the Warriors, who had not won a road game since Dec. 9 at New Jersey. The Nets (3-32) are the only team with a worse record than the Warriors (10-24) and Timberwolves (7-29). Al Jefferson had 26 points and 14 rebounds and Kevin Love and 23 points and 16 boards for the Wolves, who have lost five in a row...Jonny Flynn turned the ball over four times in the first half and finished the game a woeful 1 for 11 from the floor. “I couldn’t throw the ball in the ocean tonight,” Flynn said. “It was just one of those nights.”

vs(By JEFF LATZKE From the Associated Press) - Paul had 14 points and 13 assists and drove for a key layup in the final minute of the Hornets’ 95-92 win against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night, pushing New Orleans above .500 for the first time this season...“I love being here. It’s always awkward, though, sitting on that bench but it’s so good to see so many familiar faces and people that introduced me to the NBA,” Paul said. David West scored 19 points to lead New Orleans, which had all five starters reach double figures. Emeka Okafor had 15 points, Peja Stojakovic had 12 on 4-for-10 shooting from 3-point range and Devin Brown finished with 11...Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 27 points but had only two in the fourth quarter. Jeff Green added 20 points while Westbrook and Nenad Krstic had 11 apiece.

vs(From the Associated Press) - Tony Parker scored 23 points and keyed a decisive run in the fourth quarter to help the Spurs beat the Pistons 112-92 on Wednesday night...The win was the Spurs first at home against the Pistons since March 23, 2007...The Spurs led 59-52 after a sloppy first half. Richard Jefferson, Manu Ginobili and Parker combined for 37 first-half points, and led a 19-12 Spurs burst to end the half. Jefferson finished with 17 points and Ginobili had 16...Richard Hamilton, playing in just his eighth game after battling hamstring and ankle injuries, scored 11 points in the third period. His 14-foot jumper with 26.1 seconds left in the quarter closed the Spurs’ lead to 77-75 entering the fourth...Charlie Villanueva gave Detroit a spark off the bench with 14 points and six offensive rebounds among his overall total of eight.

vs(From the Associated Press) - In a game that saw each team squander 16-point leads—first the Suns, then the Rockets—Phoenix finally prevailed 118-110 on Wednesday night. Steve Nash led the Suns’ comeback with 26 points and 12 assists and Amare Stoudemire added 25 points and 11 rebounds as four Phoenix players scored at least 20 points and nullified career highs by Houston’s Aaron Brooks (34 points) and reserve Carl Landry (31)...Channing Frye scored 22 points, hitting six 3-pointers, and Jason Richardson added 20 points for Phoenix. Landry also had 10 rebounds for Houston, Trevor Ariza scored 15 points and Luis Scola had 11...The hard-fought manner in which the teams played there was no sign that they had played on the road Tuesday night.

Miles scored a season-high 24 points and Carlos Boozer added 20 to help the Utah Jazz overcome the absence of Deron Williams and beat the Memphis Grizzlies 117-94 on Wednesday night. “When you pass the ball, and share, you get a lot of easy baskets. I thought our guys did a great job doing that tonight,” said Utah coach Jerry Sloan after the Jazz set a season-high with 39 assists and shot 56.8 percent from the field...Backup point guard Ronnie Price, who started in Williams’ place, scored 14 points and had six assists despite a sore left shoulder...Sam Young matched his career-high scoring 22 points for Memphis. Zach Randolph added 18 points for the Grizzlies, who saw their three game winning streak snapped...Ronnie Brewer, who had a career-high 10 assists, sparked a 17-6 run midway through the third quarter with back-to-back steals....O.J. Mayo scored 16 and Rudy Gay scored 11 but the road-weary Grizzlies were consistently late to loose balls and turned the ball over 20 times. The Grizzlies also failed to rotate on the defensive end and gave Utah open looks from the perimeter.

vs(By BETH HARRIS From the Associated Press) - Baron Davis scored 25 points and the resurgent Clippers rallied for a 102-91 victory Wednesday night, snapping a nine-game losing streak in the so-called battle of Los Angeles...Chris Kaman added 21 points and 14 rebounds, Eric Gordon 18, Rasual Butler 14 and Marcus Camby 13 rebounds for the Clippers, who beat the Lakers for the first time since April 12, 2007...Kobe Bryant scored 33 points, Andrew Bynum added 15 points and 14 rebounds, Shannon Brown 15 points and Odom 16 rebounds as the Lakers’ four-game winning streak ended...“All these Laker people on the radio and all these Laker hangers-on, they’re touting all those streaks, that we lost the last nine straight,” said Dunleavy, who once coached the Lakers. “But we’ve had guys in the medical ward. In a fair fight, we’re a good team.”
