Again, Kelly Williams found himself leading the race for the best player of the conference (BPC) award entering the playoffs of the KFC-PBA Philippine Cup.
The Sta. Lucia forward averaged 40.1 statistical points (SPs) through 18 games. He was the league's top rebounder with 14.4 per outing and the third leading scorer with a 17.82 average.
He was league's the league's most valuable player (MVP) in the 2006-07 season.
But his shot of winning the tournament's top individual honor would depend on whether the Realtors will be able to advance in the quarterfinal stage of the All-Filipino tournament.
Sta. Lucia is battling for survival against Rain or Shine, which it meets at the start of the wild card phase Sunday at the Ynares Sports Center.
