They love him shooting 3’s.” When it was mentioned that Wallace’s inside game is better than expected, the assistant said, “Unstoppable. Unstoppable. Yesterday McGrady said he would be willing to recruit James this summer, though it's hard to envision that happening because McGrady won't necessarily know if he will be with the team. Either way, he became the latest to gush about New York City and what it offers. "I would like to play with a lot of those guys that are going to be a free agent," McGrady said. "And I'm sure this is a very attractive place to play. You have the bright lights, big stage every night. You've got the most passionate fans in basketball. And this is the mecca of basketball. This is it. So very attractive place, and I'm sure a lot of guys will definitely consider that." - New York Post

After all of Morey's precise calculations and smart moves, the most important step to making the Rockets serious contenders next season requires a leap of faith. “We have to bet on Yao,” the general manager said. “There's no other way to go at this point.” That's because there's no one else who comes close to doing the things Yao can do. That is, unless Yao opts out of his contract, and there's no reason to think he will. - Houston Chronicle

The Sixers continue to say he is out indefinitely as he copes with the illness of his youngest child, Messiah, 4, who, by all accounts, continues to battle a problem that has yet to be specifically diagnosed. - Philadelphia Daily News

At this rate, the Knicks would gladly take LeBron if it meant they had to fill out the rest of their roster with D-League players. The Heat either must convince one of the other big-name free agents to join them -- LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Joe Johnson, Stoudemire or Boozer -- or Dwyane Wade will be leaving town, sinking them to the depths of the NBA. You can see it in his play, his body language now. He deserves better than what the Heat have given him. Wade returned to action Sunday night after missing the previous four games with a strained calf muscle, and he probably wished he had stayed on the sideline a little longer. He had 17 points by halftime, but he ran out of gas in the second half, finishing with 21. There was no one there to bail him out. - FanHouse
