vs(By TIM REYNOLDS From the Associated Press) - Dwyane Wade had 28 points and eight rebounds, Michael Beasley scored 20 of his 22 points in the first half and the Heat snapped a three-game skid by easily beating the sputtering Hawks 92-75 on Monday night...Miami held Atlanta to season lows in points (29.9 below its average) and field-goal percentage (35.2), plus held a dominant 52-30 edge in rebounding...Udonis Haslem scored 12 points, while Quentin Richardson and Jamaal Magloire each added 10 rebounds for Miami, which moved within 3 1/2 games of Atlanta for the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference. Jamal Crawford scored 23 points off the bench for the Hawks, who have lost four straight for the first time since January 7-13, 2009...Joe Johnson scored 11 and was the only starter in double figures for Atlanta, which is 2-6 since Dec. 19 and 1-6 this season when scoring fewer than 96 points.

vs(From the Associated Press) - Durant didn’t reach 30 points for the first time in eight games and he didn’t lead his team in scoring for only the sixth time all season. Thanks largely to Westbrook’s 29 points, seven rebounds and six assists, the Thunder won anyway, beating the Chicago Bulls 98-85...At 19-15, the Thunder aren’t great yet. But the league’s second-youngest team has won six of its last seven games and is turning heads with its exciting, aggressive style...Derrick Rose scored 19 points and Joakim Noah had 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Bulls, who were booed repeatedly in the second half...Since reports emerged that coach Vinny Del Negro’s job was in jeopardy and general manager Gar Forman refused to give him a vote of confidence, the Bulls had won four straight. In Monday’s second half, Del Negro said, Chicago played the way it had before the winning streak...“We can’t get happy or satisfied,” said Durant, whose team is 10-8 on the road. “We’ve just got to continue playing that way and hopefully wins continue to pile on. These last couple of weeks, we’ve picked it up on the defensive end, which wins games.”

vs(By DOUG ALDEN From the Associated Press) - With a four-point lead in danger of being cut in half, Paul stole the ball, ate a little time and then drove for a layup with 27 seconds left to help seal New Orleans’ 91-87 victory over Utah on Monday night...The Hornets are 3-13 away from home this season and hadn’t won here since Paul and Utah point guard Deron Williams were rookies in February 2006...Devin Brown, who played the 2005-06 season in Utah, added a career-high 30 points and David West had 20 points and nine rebounds to help the Hornets end a four-game road losing streak...James Posey scored 12 points for the Hornets, who outscored Utah 25-11 in the third quarter and never let the Jazz regain the lead...Carlos Boozer added 18 points and 14 rebounds for Utah, which has lost three straight. Kirilenko and C.J. Miles added 15 points apiece for the Jazz...Williams got a standing ovation when it was announced during a timeout in the third quarter that he had 3,000 assists, making him just the fourth Jazz player to reach the milestone. John Stockton, who holds the NBA record with 15,806, Karl Malone and Rickey Green are the others.

vs(By BETH HARRIS From the Associated Press) - Chris Kaman scored 20 points, Eric Gordon added 19 and the Los Angeles Clippers pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat the Portland Trail Blazers 105-95 on Monday night in the teams’ second matchup in five days. Martell Webster scored a season-high 25 points, including five 3-pointers, Andre Miller had 22 points and 16 assists and Juwan Howard added 16 points for the Blazers, who won 103-99 last week in Portland. The Clippers led by four points going into the final 12 minutes. They opened with an 18-6 spurt, including six by Rasual Butler, to take their largest lead of the game, 95-80. The Blazers went nearly 4 minutes without a basket in that stretch. Butler scored 11 of his 13 points in the period. Baron Davis had 15 points and nine assists for the Clippers. Kaman added eight rebounds and four assists in a continuation of the dominance he’s shown since the season began. He’s scored 20 or more points in 10 of the last 11 games and just missed his 10th double-double in the last 13 games. Kaman is the Western Conference’s top scoring center and second-leading rebounder.
