(From the Associated Press) - The 7-foot-2 Hibbert had a career-high 26 points to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 97-90 victory over the Orlando Magic and All-Star Dwight Howard on Tuesday night. Hibbert added eight rebounds, four blocks and three assists for the Pacers (11-23), who have won two of three after losing eight straight. Howard played with foul trouble most of the night and finished with 11 points and 15 rebounds...Hibbert’s teammates have been impressed with his development, too. The second-year pro from Georgetown scored his previous career-high of 25 against Memphis on Dec. 30. He’s averaging 10.8 points and 5.9 rebounds this season. “I think he’s more aggressive, he wants the ball in clutch possessions,” said Pacers guard Brandon Rush, who added 12 points and seven rebounds...Orlando will try to bounce back from consecutive losses to Chicago and Indiana. Mickael Pietrus and Jameer Nelson each scored 16 for the Magic, who shot 38 percent from the field and committed 20 turnovers.

Arenas had 19 points and a season-high 14 assists and Andray Blatche scored 12 for the Wizards, who snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 3-0 against the Sixers this season...Before the game, Wizards coach Flip Saunders called Arenas’ legal issue a distraction, and added, “I think right now, we’re anxious to go out and play.” Arenas played in just 15 games the past two seasons after three operations on his left knee. This season, Arenas has played in all 32 games and entered this game averaging a team-best 22.7 points. Andre Iguodala scored 20 points, Samuel Dalembert had season-highs of 20 points and 20 rebounds and Lou Williams added 19 points for the Sixers, who were coming off a 3-3 road trip...Before the game, the Sixers guaranteed Allen Iverson’s contract for the rest of the season. Warrick added 13 points and Ridnour had 11 as the Bucks beat the Nets for the second time this season...Yi Jianlian had 22 points to lead New Jersey, which lost for the 31st time in 34 games this season. The Mavericks were coming off a 131-96 loss Sunday to the Los Angeles Lakers, their most lopsided setback of the season and a performance coach Rick Carlisle called “embarrassing.”...Nowitzki and Terry combined to score 31 points in the second half to lead the rally against the Pistons...The Pistons led for the better part of the first three quarters as they looked to win for the first time since Dec. 12. Rodney Stuckey missed a 3-pointer with 7.9 seconds left that could have tied the game...Detroit’s Richard Hamilton scored 20 points, Charlie Villanueva had 17 and Stuckey had 10 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter. The Pistons are still trying to regroup from a rash of injuries. Hamilton (hamstring and ankle) and Tayshaun Prince (ruptured disc in back) have both missed 26 games, and Ben Gordon (left ankle) was out for nine in a row in December. Then, he caught sight of an official signaling he had been fouled by Ellis...One of four Nuggets to finish with at least 20 points, Smith hit two free throws with 0.4 seconds remaining to lift the Nuggets to a 123-122 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night...Ellis, who had 32 points, including a 10-foot turnaround jumper with 15.2 seconds remaining to give Golden State its last lead, declined to comment on the foul call. Trailing 104-96 with 3:45 remaining, Memphis outscored Portland 13-1 down the stretch to pull out the win. O.J. Mayo, who scored 27 points to share the team high with Zach Randolph, hit a free throw with 21 seconds left to give the Grizzlies the lead for good at 105-104...Portland’s Brandon Roy, who led the Blazers with 27 points, then had the ball near midcourt with Mayo defending him. At one point, Mayo reached in and tipped the ball loose from Roy. In scrambling for the ball, Roy fouled Mayo, who hit the first of two free throws with 21 seconds remaining to give Memphis the lead...Memphis, which is averaging 112.9 points during its past eight games, had another big offensive night. The Grizzlies shot nearly 52 percent from the field, making 41 of 79 shots, and made 6 of 12 from 3-point range. Randolph hit 10 of 16 shots and pulled down a team-high 14 rebounds. Marc Gasol and Rudy Gay had 18 points each for Memphis.

Fellow rookie Omri Casspi added a career-high 24 points as the Kings fell for the sixth time in the past seven games...The Suns started off fast, making their first five shots. Even when they did miss, they were able to convert second chances, including an acrobatic reverse dunk on a putback by Jason Richardson, who scored 20 points.
